1.What cookies are and on what grounds we use them

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This policy follows KVKK and the Personal Data Protection Authority’s Guide on Cookie Practices.

Strictly necessary cookies are used to provide the service you ask for and to keep it secure, and don’t depend on consent (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and 5(2)(f)). Non-essential analytics cookies are used only with your explicit consent (Art. 5(1)) and only after you choose “Accept”. Declining is as easy as accepting and doesn’t affect how you can use Puanca.

2.Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed for your session and for security, and can’t be turned off. They are all first-party cookies, sent only to Puanca, and can’t be read by page scripts.

puanca_at: sign-in key (at most 15 minutes). puanca_rt: renews your session (at most 30 days if “Keep me signed in on this device” is ticked, otherwise deleted when you close the browser). puanca_oauth: secures sign-in with Google or Apple (at most 10 minutes). puanca_onetap: one-tap sign-in with Google (at most 10 minutes). puanca_2fa: two-step verification (at most 5 minutes). puanca_rr: lets a page reload once while your session is renewed (10 seconds).

3.Preferences stored in your browser

The area you choose, unfinished review drafts and your cookie choice (puanca_analytics_consent) are stored only in your own browser (local storage); they are not sent to our servers, and you can delete them in your browser settings.

4.Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA) to improve the site. If you don’t consent, no analytics cookies are stored and Google receives a “denied” consent signal for measurement. If you consent, the _ga and _ga_<id> cookies (2 years) are stored, and page views and usage statistics are sent to Google (Google Analytics 4 doesn’t log IP addresses). Ad personalization and Google signals are switched off. In that case your data is transferred abroad (USA) on the basis of your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 9).

Puanca doesn’t use advertising or targeting cookies.

The mobile app doesn’t use cookies; usage statistics in the app are measured only with your consent, asked separately (see the Privacy notice).

5.Changing your choice

You can withdraw or give your consent at any time: press “Change cookie preferences” on this page and the choice bar opens again. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block strictly necessary cookies, you won’t be able to sign in.

The mobile app doesn’t use cookies; session keys are kept in your device’s secure storage.
